Our Challenge: Create an office in part of a new build warehouse, of over 40,000ft2.

How we helped: The complexity lay in the extra wide steel portal frame spans that had a deflection of over 400mm. As the wall between the office and warehouse had to be 1 hour fire rated, Metirium designed a complex deflection head detail to cope with the movement in the structure. Additional a concrete conical pit was created in the slab between the piled beam structure for tooling drainage, and a colourful array of bespoke furniture was built by Tür Offen to the client’s own design.
