Typical traditional projects do not have clear cutoff between stages. Stages overlap, one bleeding into another. Generally, there is an attempt to tender before all details are finalised. Stage 4 tendering creates a hard stop and unfinished designs become a cost risk. Short duration (often 3 weeks) to tender a multi-million pound project in incongruous to the nature of complexity that the design team have spent months/years on. This results in poor prices, costly errors, likelihood of various and dispute.

By following a controlled, concise cyclical method, we ensure any issues are ironed out early to not encounter any setbacks. Our methodology of number of stages, deals with these issues as we have in-house Design Managers, ensuring all items of design are closed out, packages are let that are complete. We take full design liability as a D&B but we’re engaged from the start of the process and not rushing around in a short space of time which results in overpricing.
